Love Notes

No matter how you slice it, nearly everyone struggles with writing his or her very own love notes! The most likely reason being that those blessed enough to master the art of the written word have given the rest of us impossible shoes to fill. As a result, we believe our love notes have to be eloquent, intelligent and loaded with symbolisms. Well, the good news is: anyone can write a successful, meaningful, touching love letter. The only key is adding just the right amount of romance when writing it out, and that isn't always contained within the words alone.

When you write a love note, it is not necessary you write it in the way someone like Shakespeare would have written. Love notes only need contain a single thought; to convey how much one person loves another person. For example, if your spouse had left a simple message of "I Love You!" with a sticky note on the bathroom mirror, wouldn't you feel you had just received a very special love message? You betcha!

You are more than capable of coming up with a special love letter for your partner. For example, write a love note, cut it into nice sized puzzle-shaped pieces and place them around the house in obvious places. They will delight in finding the pieces and putting the puzzle together to see what you wrote. If you really want to keep him or her in suspense, place a single piece in the same location each day until they have the whole love note!

If you believe you simply aren't creative enough for a love note, don't despair. Remember, love notes can be communicated in a number of different ways. Consider walking in the door with a bunch of balloons on which you wrote "I love you" on each one. You could buy a pack of sticky notes, write "I love you" on each of them and put 'surprises' all over the house. You could even write "I love you" on the eggs in the refrigerator. Don't be afraid to add your own personal touches by drawing funny faces or silly little sayings on the eggs.
